IGY Maximo Marina St Petersburg Florida

Maximo Marina St. Petersburg, Florida is the newest addition to the IGY network. Boasting being the largest marina on Florida’s West coast with 220 slips in a protected harbor providing calm waters and safe berthing.  Maximo Marina is located in the Skyway Marina District, is the largest covered wet slip marina in the State.  As part of the $ 25 million renovation, Petroleum Marine Construction, LLC was awarded the pre-qualified bid for the marina fuel rehabilitation project.

The Project will include the demolition of the over the water existing fuel system. All fuel will be purged from the existing fuel piping and properly disposed. Existing dispensers and reels will be removed and replaced with State of the Art Marina grade Pump Measure Control Commander model dispensers manufactured for the harsh environment.  Future installation of State of Florida DEP approved 2” double wall UV protected fuel piping will take place over the water within 6” PVC chases cast within the new concrete floating fuel dock. The new fuel distribution double wall piping will include the proper connections within an onshore fiberglass access valve sump. The fuel system design will follow PEI/RP-1000. The onshore access valve sump will contain a shutoff valve, breakaway valve and a liquid sump sensor to meet all mandated compliance requirements. The existing Veeder-root compliance monitoring system will be upgraded to maintain State of Florida environmental compliance

Flagstone Properties Group – Island Gardens Deep Water Harbour

The first deep-water, super-yacht marina of its capacity in the Western Hemisphere, Deep Harbour enables yachters and global citizens alike to step directly from their vessels into the vibrant waterfront lifestyle of Island Gardens.  The Deep Harbour’s 5,000 linear feet of slips have been specifically designed to accommodate a wide array of vessels, namely, mega yachts reaching 500-feet plus in length, including accommodation for smaller power boats servicing such mega yachts.

Phase II in 2017 will have the region’s most state of the art fueling project adding the installation of 40,000 gallons diesel storage capacity and 6,000 gallons of gasoline. Compliance monitoring of the entire system is achieved using a Incon electronic monitoring system.  The diesel fuel delivery system will consist of two (2) 5hp submersible pumps with a 4” piping manifold. The diesel fuel passes through a booster pump located onshore to increase the flow rates required for MegaYacht fueling.

3” UV double wall piping has been installed within the docks steel frame providing fuel connections within at Fourteen  (14) fiberglass secondary containment sumps accessed through stainless manholes with hydraulic access covers.

Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Mt Pleasant SC

On the Historic Banks of the Cooper River , tucked between Shem Creek and the USS Yorktown, lies a spirited oasis known as Charleston Harbor Marina. With 459 slips ranging in size from 33ft to 66ft, as well as boat lifts to 25 elevated, Charleston Harbor Marina stands as the largest in water marina in South Carolina. The marina is home port to the finest yachtsmen in the Carolina’s, and with 1,700 lineal feet of dock, and is able to accommodate a large range of vessels to 120ft.

As part of the Big Fund Infrastructure Boating Grant the client is upgrading the Fuel Dock dispensing system. The Project will include the demolition of the over the water existing dispensers and reels. All fuel will be purged from the existing fuel dispensers and reels, this equipment will be disconnected and set aside for proper disposal.  The dispensers will and replaced with State of the Art Marina grade Pump Measure Control Commander model dispensers manufactured for the harsh environment. The hose reels will accommodate 100ft of delivery hose and be stainless steel manufactured by Hannay reels.

The Harborage at Ashley Marina , Charleston SC

The Harborage at Ashley Marina is located within walking distance to nearby historic downtown Charleston. The Ashley Marina accommodates vessels up to 150 ft in length with approximately 235 convenient slips.  The project will include the demolition of the over the water existing diesel fuel system.  All fuel will be purged from the existing fuel piping and properly disposed. Existing meters will be removed and replaced with new state-of-the-art LC Marina fuel meters.  Future installation of  UL-971 2” double wall Brugg fuel piping will take place onshore and over the water. The new fuel distribution double wall piping will include the removal and replacement of the onshore valve sump, fixed dock valve sump, and the installation of new fiberglass watertight access sumps throughout the existing fuel system.

When the repeat client met with our design staff, the client communicated to us what his goals where for his new system upgrade.  We listened.  A strict schedule, minimum down time, and continued access for slip holders to all amenities during construction.  The client has a state of the art facility that exceeded expectations that was within his budget.
