FORE POINTS MARINA | PORTLAND, MAINE

Cruisers on Casco Bay in Maine can get the IGY Marinas treatment. The company will operate a newly developed property in Portland. Fore Points Marina is set to become the company’s northernmost facility in the United States, too. IGY Marinas is branding and managing Fore Points Marina. The marina is owned by the Portland Foreside development company. However, that company has teamed with IGY’s coastal and marina-engineering affiliate partner for design and permits. Once it opens in 2020, Fore Points Marina will have slips for 10 megayachts, amid 140 total slips. Just as happens at other IGY Marinas properties, During the bidding process Petroleum Marine Construction, LLC provided the most complete turnkey approach to this site-specific fuel system. SAFE HARBOR MARINAS SPORTSMAN’S MARINA | ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA

Petroleum Marine Construction, LLC negotiated a design/ installation agreement for the rehabilitation of the fuel system over the water. Voted Best Marina 15 years running by the Peoples choice awards. Sportsman’s is a world-class marina located on the Intracoastal Waterway adjacent to the City of Orange Beach, Alabama. Marina amenities include concrete floating docks capable of mooring vessels greater than 100' and a dry slip storage building capable of handling boats up to 42 feet and 42,000 lbs. Other marina amenities include a ship store, gasoline and high-speed diesel pumps, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi internet service, pump-out facilities, 24-hour security & video surveillance, and full-service boatyard, and a marine service center. USCG STATION CORTEZ | BRADENTON, FLORIDA

Petroleum Marine Construction, LLC obtained a contract for the site-specific fuel system after presenting a detailed construction plan to the awarded General Contractor. After mobilization, the initial scope consisted of the closure of the existing over-the-water fuel facility. This initial scope began with the lockout/tag out of the fuel panel. Fuel was purged from existing piping and existing dispensers. All piping and dispensers were properly removed and properly disposed of offsite. The new installation included above-ground stainless steel double wall Doubletrac piping manufactured by Omegaflex.  Stainless Steel pipe hangers were installed at 5ft intervals.  All fuel delivery components are installed per the USCG and NFPA 30A requirements. Continuing our professional relationship with IGY, Petroleum Marine was contracted to install a high-speed fueling facility at this new Mega Yacht Marina. Provide Engineered drawings with detail for client review including job costing. Design a state-of-the-art fuel delivery system to meet the client's site-specific GPM requirements. Provide flow calculations for (12) designated fueling points on the new fuel dock and for in slip fueling. The marina layout includes; 50 Superyacht Berths 50 Total Berths Max Length: 550' (167m) Max Draft: 27' (8.2m) Max Beam: No Restrictions Phase I: Over the water Petroleum Marine Construction designed and installed (12) hydrant fueling positions within the floating dock system. Hydrants are installed within secondary containment using PCI fiberglass watertight sumps The Hydrant connections are installed using OPW Kamvalock fittings and stainless steel ball valves.
